Powder Coating

Powder Coating

Powder coating is one of the specialized services provided by CIPI s.r.o., a company with long-term expertise in steel and aluminium processing and industrial surface treatments. We operate modern technology and automated coating lines that allow precise and reliable powder coating, including oversized components up to 8.5 metres. Our equipment ensures high quality, uniform surface finish and long-lasting durability for a wide range of industrial applications.

Our Equipment and Capacities

In our facility we use modern and precise technologies that enable high-quality and reliable powder coating of steel, aluminium and oversized components. Capacities and equipment of the coating line:

Technical parameters of the coating process

Maximum component dimensions: 8.5 m × 2.5 m × 0.9 m
Maximum load per hanger: 750 kg
Materials: steel, aluminium, galvanized parts
Types of coating: automatic and manual powder coating

Surface pre-treatment (key to coating quality)

• 7-stage chemical pre-treatment in immersion tanks
– deoxidation, degreasing, phosphating, rinsing, passivation

• Automatic blasting according to ISO 8501-1, grade Sa 2½
– roller conveyor for uniform surface preparation

• Sweeping (fine blasting) for galvanized materials

• Drying after chemical pre-treatment
– drying oven ensures a perfectly dry surface before powder application

Technology:

Powder coating is a modern, precise and environmentally friendly metal surface treatment technology that delivers high mechanical resistance, long service life and a uniform, sag-free finish. It is an industrial process suitable for steel, aluminium and galvanized components. During the process, electrostatically charged powder paint is applied to the prepared surface, where it adheres evenly due to the electrostatic charge. The coated part is then cured in an oven at approximately 200 °C, where polymerisation of the coating layer occurs. The result is a durable, uniform and highly resistant surface with stable protective properties against corrosion, weather effects and mechanical stress.

Advantages of Powder Coating:

  • High resistance to mechanical wear, abrasion and corrosion

  • Long-term surface stability under UV exposure and weather conditions

  • Efficient process with minimal waste and excellent coating uniformity

  • Environmentally friendly technology without solvents or VOC emissions

  • Wide range of RAL colours and surface finishes
